Ames, IA “Blue Jackets – Gold Standards” was the theme of the 79th annual Iowa FFA Leadership Conference that was held on the campus of Iowa State University April 16th through the 17th. Over 4, 200 FFA members, parents and guests from 219 chapters attended this year’s conference.
The Prairie Valley FFA Chapter had a successful conference with individuals competing and the chapter receiving recognition on activities and accomplishments this during the school year.

Proficiency Award Winners – The chapter had three state winners and two runner-up finishes in the FFA Proficiency Award applications. Gabe Heun of Dayton was named the state winner in Ag. Mehcanics (energy systems). Ronley King of Dayton was named the first place winner in Grain Production. Glen Worrel was earned top honors in Diversified Agriculture. Placing second was Mark Bauer in Diversified Livestock and Preston Fevold in Beef Production.
